The best part of what I do is the relationships with our clients, assisting them to build their businesses and make them more efficient and profitable. We continue to look at suitable management tools with this goal in mind.
My accounting career started way back in 1976 when I commenced work with Arthur Young & Co. Five years later I began focusing on tax, working for Milne Stevens Searcy, then Elders and Simpson Ltd. I commenced practice with Colin D Rowe & Co (now BHC Partners) in July 1988.

Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Accountancy, South Australian Institute of Technology,
Chartered Accountant, Registered Company Auditor

Although tax is my main focus, I really enjoy providing a very proactive and comprehensive service that covers all aspects of business transactions. A particular interest is helping clients who are starting a new business, ensuring their structure is correct from the beginning. I know how tough small business can be, but I have seen the benefit of maintaining momentum when times are difficult.

I also advise clients on asset protection, finance negotiations, wealth creation, business and succession planning and estate planning.

Experience:
I began working in the Taxation sector in 1987 after working for Westpac and a small private practice. Over the years I have worked for medium-sized practices starting out as an office junior and working my way to senior management. Because I have helped so many clients with small businesses, I have built a great deal of experience in building success in a diverse range of industries.

Qualifications:
Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Accountancy at Uni SA.
CPA - Certified Practicing Accountant

Experience:
The first ten years of my career were in a manufacturing environment with a short stint in the public service. I graduated with distinction in my accounting degree in 1988 and was admitted as an associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in 1989.
I have had over 20 years experience in the accountancy profession specialising, in taxation and strategic management. I believe the experience I gained before becoming an accountant really helped me to understand the needs of small business owners.

Experience:
I have worked as a Taxation Accountant for nine years.  I worked for a medium sized accounting firm for all of that time, working up from Junior Accountant to my current position. Prior to that I worked as a Secretary in various roles for approximately six years. This experience has given me unique insight into the ground floor workings of businesses and an appreciation for the importance of systems and processes for organisations to function efficiently.

Bachelor of Commerce, Accounting Major and Management Accounting Minor at University of South Australia

I started to work with BHC Partners in August 2008 as an Assistant Accountant.

My role is to assist in the preparation of Financial Accounts, Tax Returns and BAS for clients.

Experience:
I studied Accounting at TAFE in 2001 and since then I have been a Finance Officer in a number of government locations. I have also run a small business with my husband for a number of years and so understand the myriad of issues involved in running your own business.

I have been in finance in the government sector for the last 7 years and bring with me an eye for details and accuracy.

I joined the team at BHC Partners in May 2008 as the Finance Officer and progressed to the position of Accountant.

My role is to assist in the preparation of Financial Accounts, Tax Returns and BAS for clients.

I have over 20 years experience in various accounting roles across a variety of industries from retail to commerce.

Qualifications
Commenced Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) at the University of SA (currently on hold)

Working towards completion of Advanced Diploma in Accounting in the next twelve months

I have been involved in Office Administration/Receptionist work for 16 years. I have previously worked for such organisations as The Shepherd Centre, Riding for the Disabled and The Gowrie Training Centre.
